The Type 7 U boat was one of the most
feared weapons of World War II. They exacted a deadly toll on shipping
and forced the Allied Navies to tie up valuable resources to combat them.
Flagman a new company from Russia has reproduced this kit in 1/350 plastic. I had heard that this kit was simply a copy of the old Heller kit, but that is not the case. This kit appears to be a brand new tooling and with much sharper detailing. |

HULL PARTS | ||||||||||
The hull is molded in two halves with a separate deck and sail. Limber holes are recessed as are the panel lines on the hull. The molding looks nice overall and the smaller parts such as the guns are pretty well detailed. | Click images

This kit is very impressive for a new manufacture of plastic kits. It looks like it will make a nice sub right out of the box. Or give you a nice platform to super-detail on. Thanks to Pacific Front Hobbies for the review sample. You can find this kit there for $16.00 US. |
