A Break in the Action

The following pages will contain a detailed description of my build of a diorama based on the above photo of the USS Juneau and USS Laffey. The photo shows USS Laffey (DD-459) alongside the USS Portland, transferring survivors of the USS Wasp sinking. In the distance the USS Juneau (CL-52) is visible. I will play with the positioning of the Laffey and Juneau a little in my diorama, to save space and to give the piece a little more visual interest.
