NorthStar Models has released a set of brass strips for World War II Imperial Navy Japanese ships in 1/350 scale, set NSA 350096, WWII IJN brass strip. There are 26 strips on the fret, each strip being just over 5 1/4 inches long.

THE FRET | ||||
The strips are to be used to replace the molded on plastic brass strips that hold down the linoleum decking on Japanese Warships. The overall size of the fret 5 1/2 inches by 1 3/4. The strips are extremely fine and very delicate. Use extreme caution when removing them from the fret, and when cutting them to size.

CONCLUSIONS | ||||
While
these are sharply etched, they look very fragile. A few were bent
slightly on my sample. I think is the type of product that
is more geared to the super-detailing crowd.
This is NorthStar Models set NSA 350096, WWII IJN brass strip. It retails for around $10.00, and is available from NorthStar Model, as well as some of our other sponsors. Thanks to NorthStar Models for the review sample. Recommended for experienced modelers, or those looking to super detail their 1/350 Imperial Japanese Navy ships. |
