| North Star Models produces a wide variety of photo etch
sets. Some are comprehensive upgrades geared towards a specific kit, and
other like this one are geared towards scratchbuilders and those needing
typical detail parts. This set features US Navy Catapults P-6 (Mk-6) found
on US Navy Battleships.

| PHOTO ETCH FRET & RESIN PARTS | |||||||||
| Two catapult assemblies are included on this relief etched
Brass fret. They include platform and handrails, nicely etched pulleys,
turntable bases with nicely etched gear teeth. The main turntable
assembly features sharp rivet detailing. Two aircraft dollies are
also included.
Some 3D parts just can't be replicated by folding PE, so resin piston and cylinder assemblies are included for that part of the assembly. These are well cast a nicely detailed. |

The instructions are eight pages clearly showing the assembly
process. The first page identifies the parts and the next pages are
step by step guiding you through the process.

| CONCLUSIONS | |||||||||
 As
a handy set to have if you're detailing U.S. Navy battleships. The
parts are well engineered and the assembly appears to be very accurate.
