| The second of three Hasegawa upgrade sets for the 1941 1/350 IJN Nagato. This "Etched Detail-Up Basic B" is comprised of various details around the ship, notably upgrades for the main turrets, ship's crane, and the searchlight platform base. There is also more railings for around the ship, picking up where the "A" set left off. | |||||

The parts are relief etched where applicable, and the rails are etched with "sag." There are many replacement ladders for the kit. The brass of this set is a tad on the thin side; not flimsy, but not stiff either. |

The instruction sheet is a large, single page fold-out, with detailed folding steps. The steps are a bit jumbled on the sheet; builders will need to study each step before beginning. I have scanned a few selections from the sheet. |

This is set #72116, IJN Battleship Nagato Detail Up Etching Parts Basic B from Hasegawa. This set retails for $64.95, which I think is pricey for a single sheet photoetch set like this.
