The parts are relief etched where applicable, and the rails are etched with "sag." There are also 8 etched life-rings as part of this set. The brass of this set is a tad on the thin side; not flimsy, but not stiff either. |

The instruction sheet is a large, single page fold-out, with detailed call outs for exact railing placement. There are also black and white close-up photos of the actual kit to aid the builder. I have scanned a few selections from the sheet. |

This is set #72115, IJN Battleship Nagato Detail Up Etching Parts Basic A from Hasegawa. This set retails for $38.95, which I think is pricey for a photoetch set of railings only.
