The Etch Mate PE is a 6.5" x 3.5" bending tool. It's khaki anodized finish allows brass parts to be clearly seen, making for less headaches when cutting or positioning for folding. The folding head has 6 channels on one side, allowing for a variety for folding possibilities. For long runs of rails, you can rotate the entire headstock for a continous 6.5in length. This will come in very handy for the perforated platforms with attached rails currently being offered by Tom's Modelworks, White Ensign, and Gold Medal Models.

The unit comes with a set of adhesive rubber pads for the feet, and a single edged razor blade. Mission Models also offers a set of 6.5 and 4.5 in folding blades that retails for $7.00 per pair. The unit retails at $65.00, which may cause some modelers to get cold feet. It's already saved me hours of work and frustration, and the construction and durability of the unit insure that it will probably outlast me...I consider it a worthwhile investment. Jeff Herne
