The old Airfix 1/600 scale kit of HMS Leander has been around for long time. Well that kit is a bit dated it is still reasonably accurate and provides a good platform to build upon. All that is needed is a good aftermarket upgrades that. This one from Atlantic models is perfect for the job. |

| A single photo which Fred is included relief etched to
enhance the otherwise flat details. New railings and platforms are
included. New propeller blades will allow you to replace the thick
and crude ones in the plastic kit. Boat davits and helicopter details
are among the other items on this fret.
New radar antenna assemblies are included, not just for the Leander class but also for the Dutch and Australian versions using the Hollands LW-02 Radar antenna. |

The old Airfix kit is a favorite among Royal Navy fans. It's nice to see it getting a little attention in the aftermarket realm. This new set will breathe new life into a very old kit.
