The M2 Browning Heavy Machine gun was developed by John Moses Browning early in the 20^th century. The M2 has been in service with the United States Military- and many other nations- ever since. This machine gun served in almost every imaginable capacity, from AA ship defense and the main armament for combat aircraft, to man portable versions for anti-personnel and anti-material uses. Produced in many variations, this barrel set from Master replicates the air cooled barrels of an aircraft type gun from the 1940's. Being offered in 1/35 scale, these barrels are primarily intended for use on the Italeri 1/35 Elco PT boat kit.

These barrels come in 2 pieces; the gun barrel with flared flash hider and the perforated cooling jacket. The barrel slides easily inside the jacket, giving the barrel an accurate, distinctive appearance no plastic molded part can ever approach.
