Swordfish Naval Models Accessories has sent us some additional products to review.  Among these is 35010015, 1/350 3 M AA Director for Littorio Class Battleships.  According to The Littorio Class: Italy's Last and Largest Battleships 1937-1948, by Erminio Bagnasco and Augusto de Toro, the ships carried "two of these stabilised and rotating three-metre stereo rangefinders, fitted with height finders, which were located in the two rangefinder turrets, for directing the fire of the 90mm guns". (Hat tip to Sean Hert for finding that info for me).

THE PARTS
As is the norm, the parts arrive in a plastic clamshell container.  The parts are now covered in cotton, to prevent damage during shipping. Inside is one print raft, with 2 3 meter directors.  The directors are printed in one piece.

The directors are solidly printed, with "open" rangefinder sights on the "arms" of the director.  There is also rivet detail visible.  On the other hand, there is some faint print lines on the roof of the director, but these should disappear under some primer or paint.

Close ups of some of the details.

There are no instructions.  If you go to the product page on the Swordfish website, you'll find general instructions on how to remove the parts from the print raft.

CONCLUSIONS
Swordfish Models continues to release new 3D printed accessory sets, including these Italian directors for the Littorio class.  These, along with other available Regia Marina parts from the Swordfish website, will be a nice upgrade to the Trumpeter class Littorio-class battleships. Recommended.

This is Swordfish Naval Models Accessories' item 35010015, 1/350 3 M Director for Littorio Class Battleships (x2). They retail for approximately $6.97 USD, and are available from the Swordfish Naval Models Accessories website. Thanks to Swordfish Naval Models Accessories for the review sample.
