PARTS | ||||
This is a simple set of accessories from Black
Cat Models. These tiny blocks of boxes are listed at ammo boxes, but would
look just fine in any shipboard, or dockyard setting, where miscellaneous
crates and boxes are needed to add a little chatter and life to the scene.
The set contains 28 stacks of boxes, made up of seven different styles, four examples of each. They're quite tiny, so care will need to be used removing them from the printing supports, but once off, they should clean up easily as the only supports are on the very bottom of the stack. There's very faint inset detail on the tops and sides of the boxes, which should show up quite well with some paint and a faint wash to bring out those shadows.

CONCLUSIONS | ||||
These are very simple little additions, but look quite
good. Sure, this is something you could cut out of stock styrene strip
and build your own stacks, but here it's done for you, and the slight recessed
detail on the tops would be
difficult to pull-off with styrene strip, and those little details will
go a long way towards selling the illusion that these are crates, and not
just blocks of... something.
