Classic Warships is back with another Warship Pictorial. This one by Steve Wiper also features the photo research of Ron Smith of AA-Military-Research.com. The book covers the North Carolina Class Battleships from bow to stern in super detail. | |||||
The book is divided into two sections, one covering the North Carolina and one for the Washington. Both include some historical data, photos, and drawings taken at various times during their careers. The photos are excellent and many I have never seen before in print. The photos include captions with details noted that you may have overlooked on first glance. The photos are organized from the building of the ship to their end. Not only are these books fascinating, they are educational, and I learned things I didn't know about both ships. | click to

Conclusions:
This book is not only a valuable resource, it is an education on these ships. Whether you are a model builder or a historian, this book belongs in your library. Steve's books are very popular among the Naval Enthusiast crowd, get your copy before it sells out. This book is 72 pages with about 120 photographs, 11 of those in color. There are 14 drawings of the weapons and 4 camo design sheets. All in a 8-1/4" x 11" soft book format. With a retail price of $17.95 US this book is an excellent value and a great addition to your Warship reference library.
