In this companion volume to British Battleships, 1919-1946, R A Burt has revised this work with new photos and drawings throught the book. Some of these drawings, and the inside covers, are in color- and are quite impressive. Doubly so when realized that Mr. Burt is not only the author, but the artist and draftsman!
This work begins with Dreadnought, then the Invincible, Bellerophon, St. Vincent, ans Indefatigable classes, then Neptune, followed by the Colossus, Orion, and Lion classes. Next up is the Queen Mary, then the King George V and Iron Duke classes, then Tiger and war purchases Erin, Canada, and Agincourt. The final ships covered are the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Sovereign classes, Renown and Repulse, then finally Courageous, Glorious and Furious.
While this book is titled "British Battleships of World War One", many of the pictures and drawings illustrate the post-war refits many of this warships had, clearing documenting the evolution of the battleship in that era.
