Central to the museums highpoint has to be the simply breathtaking,
26 feet long (!!) cutaway model of SMS Viribus Unitis. Every imaginable
detail of the ships interior and exterior systems has been replicated,
all the gun barrels have rifling, crews quarters have wash-hand basins
and coat hooks, all voice pipes actually go to their destination, etc.
etc.
The sheer quality of model making was inspiring--as well as the
models ability to give a greater understanding of a complex
system like a Dreadnought.
