The following pictures are those taken by me of the annual show in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - this year's event took place on October 11th.

Ship entries, though few, were all very well done, earning many "Ooo"s and "Ahh"s from onlookers and modelers of heretical subjects.

It was heartening to see quite a few young and enthusiastic children at the event, though there were not many Junior entries.

The awards were as follows:
Best Canadian Navy subject - HMCS Haida
Best Nautical Subject - HMCS Haida

Engine powered, 1/600 and larger (further subdivided into 350th and larger scales):
350th:
1st place - HMCS Haida
2nd place - HMS Hood
3rd place - USS England

The larger scales:
1st place - HMS Comet
2nd place - Italian suicide boat (I forget the actual name, sorry!)
3rd place - LCVP PA26-19

Engine powered, 1/601st and smaller:
1st place - HMS Repulse
2nd place - USS Enterprise

Submarines (If I recall correctly):
1st - Type VII C/41
2nd - 2-man Midget Sub

Non-engine powered (Also if I recall correctly):
1st - HMS Diana
2nd - Roman Warship

My apologies to the other categories, as I neglected to take pictures of the final results from those sections, and thus do not remember who were the winners.

I had the chance to meet several of the builders who have submitted to this site at the end of the day, and managed to get a picture of us. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
