The Modelshippers Party 2005 This innovative event, held at our home halfway between Portsmouth and Southampton UK took place on the Saturday evening of The Festival of the Sea .
During the course of the evening around 140 or so guests congregated to eyeball the names only ever seen on the message boards! To this end everyone was issued with a self adhesive name tag for easy ID. Many people from ModelWarships.com, SMML and Steel Navy came to chat ship, look at my models, ,drink and eat copiously... even dance!
It was good to see guests who had travelled from the USA, Canada, Norway, Holland , Germany and even an Autralian gent, along with a goodly contingent of UK modellers.
All in all a great evening was had--everyone seemed to enjoy themselves immensly-- We shall be holding another party during the next Festival of The Sea...
Katrin and I hope to be able to welcome many more of you all--you herewith have 3-4 years notice!!
